Since March 2026 the Payconiq by Bancontact app is officially called Bancontact Pay. The card in your wallet probably already does it, with a threshold that rarely drops under €5.
Bancontact Pay limits to €1500 per operation and €2500 per 24 hours. A deposit shows up immediately; a withdrawal normally takes one to three banking days, on top of the processing time on the operator's side.
What is asked at registration
Registration looks similar at every operator: name, date of birth and documents, before anything is paid out. Usually an ID together with a document showing your address is enough. Paying from someone else's account always creates problems.
